Why is eBay the perfect venue for selling information products?

1. You have a ready made market of 85 million members in the US and another 40 million members in English speaking countries overseas.
    
2. eBay members search for products. Remember the quilt pattern lady I mentioned above? Well when someone searches the term quilt or quilts, her listings come up.
    
3. It is very easy to set up an eBay account and start selling on eBay.
    
4. eBay used to discourage selling digital products - now they embrace it...BUT they did institute some new rules in 2008 that changed the game. As it turns out these rules were actually a good thing as it got rid of all the hucksters and now there is an even better market on eBay for legitimate information products.

I am not a writer. How can I create a product?

First of all remember that we are not just talking about writing.

• Do you have a skill that you could capture with a video camera?
   
• Some people sell audio files?
   
• Musicians are recording their own music and selling it as mp3 downloads. One fellow records himself reading popular nursery rhymes that parents can pop into a CD player to play for their children. (There must be a lot of lazy parents out there because he sells a ton of these).
   
• Another seller captures free photos of old airplanes on the web -loads them onto a CD and sells it for $9.95

But if you do want to write a book or an eBook, that is OK.
